As time passes, people’s agony with their seemingly forever waiting for the final launch and roll out of the iPhone 5 is getting shorter. There have been a couple of rumors that iPhone fans partied on for the favourable ones and condemned the disapprovals but at this point we have a couple of things that we can be certain about. One is, the iPhone 5 is a reality and the other is that it is coming out. Kidding aside, there are already a lot of reliable reports about the iPhone 5’s features and how it is able to beat the other smart phone manufacturer’s flagship smart phones today.
But here’s another thing that iPhone fans can feast on and be clear about. Apple will be taking pre-orders in the U.S. for the next generation iPhone this coming September 12. With regards to this notable date, there has been a previous announcement that it is when Apple will be launching the next iPhone. But as it turned out, it is also the date when iPhone 5 enthusiasts residing in the U.S. can start placing their orders for this much awaited Apple device.
And those who have placed their orders wouldn’t have to endure a long interval from the date of their pre-order to the time when they can get the iPhone 5 in their hands. This is because, the shipments of the iPhone 5 will start by September 21. Unless, nine days is too long for them to wait for this remarkable device.
However, for countries outside the U.S., they will have to wait for the second wave of the iPhone 5 launch which will be on October 5 or anytime during the first week of October 2012. This is also the time when international iPhone 5 buyers can also place their orders.
Although Apple has been known to accept pre-orders for any of their devices not so soon after the launch, this move of accepting pre-orders of the iPhone 5 in the same date of its launch may not be deemed as a something new. With the iPhone 4s, the device was launched on October 4 and Apple began accepting orders only three days after. However, they did better today with the iPhone 5 by conducting the launch and accepting pre-orders at the same date.
People have a lot more things to expect with the iPhone 5 that were not present with its predecessor, iPhone 4s. Among these is the larger and thinner screen, smarter Siri, new location for the headphone jack. More accessible FaceTime and its camera being repositioned in the device, My Passport, 3D mapping system, Facebook integration in the OS, and much more. Aside from being way much better than the iPhone 4s, it is also set to turn down the other smart phones that are thriving until the iPhone 5 launch such as the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note, Sony Xperia, etc.
During the past iPhone launches, a lot of people will notice that Apple has always scheduled them during the fall making the new device readily available and still very sensational by the holiday season. However, this year, the event of iPhone 5’s launch may face a competition with Samsung’s own event dubbed as the Samsung Unpacked (where Samsung will release the Samsung Galaxy Note 2) and Sony’s release of their Xperia, both of which are scheduled even earlier on August 29.
